THE REAL PROBLEM
Gurgling in the tube,
water inside the mask.
Air leaves the humidifier warm and saturated. It travels two metres through a room that drops to 17 or 18 degrees overnight, the tube wall cools, the air falls below its dew point, and the moisture it is carrying becomes water — before it ever reaches you. Most people respond by turning the humidity down. The water does stop, but a dry throat, a blocked nose and a glass of water first thing in the morning take its place.
A warm tube, not less humidity
A heated tube works on the cause itself: it holds the tube wall warm along its whole length, so the air never reaches its dew point. The temperature is adjustable from 16 to 30 °C and the built-in sensor corrects it through the night — with an automatic cut-out at 41 °C. Together with the HumidAir 11 water tub it enables Climate Control Auto, where temperature and humidity are managed together without you touching either.
Which machines it fits
The electrical connector at the end of the tube differs between the 10 series and the 11 series. This is not a matter of adapting it — it does not seat.

Cleaning
Once a week, by hand, in warm water with a little dishwashing liquid, at up to 55 °C. Rinse thoroughly and dry away from sunlight and radiators.

Not permitted
Dishwasher and washing machine. Also bleach, chlorine, aromatic solutions, antibacterial soaps and scented oils — they degrade the material and shorten its life.

Inspection & replacement
Inspect regularly for holes, tears and cracks. Design life 6 months; replace sooner on any visible deterioration.

Tube covers
Do not use an insulating cover or wrap over this tube. It is a heated component with a sensor, and an insulating layer distorts that measurement.

A genuine ResMed accessory for the AirSense 11 and AirCurve 11 PAP systems. The tube falls under Regulation (EU) 2017/745 in its own right: accessories to medical devices are regulated as devices themselves. The CE marking details, the legal manufacturer and the batch number are given on the packaging and in the instructions for use supplied with it. The tube is intended exclusively for the devices listed above: the electrical connector fits only the device air outlet and never the mask. Frequently asked questions
I have an AirSense 10. Will this fit?
No, and it is not a matter of adapting it. The electrical connector at the end of the tube is different between the 10 series and the 11 series — it does not seat in the device outlet. The AirSense 10, AirCurve 10 and Lumis take the ClimateLineAir (ResMed part 37296), which is a different item. This page is the ClimateLineAir 11 (part 39104), for the AirSense 11 and AirCurve 11. The model is printed on the device itself; if you cannot find it, send us a photo.
I wake up with water in the mask and gurgling in the tube. Will this stop it?
That is condensation, or as it is known in sleep apnoea, rainout. Air leaves the humidifier warm and moist, travels two metres through a cooler room, drops below its dew point, and the moisture becomes droplets before it reaches your nose. A heated tube works on exactly that: it holds the tube wall warm along its whole length so the air never reaches the dew point. The alternative most people try — turning the humidity down — does stop the water, but it brings a dry throat and nose instead.
Do I also need the HumidAir 11 humidifier, or does it work on its own?
The tube heats on its own, so even without a humidifier it keeps the air temperature steady. But for Climate Control Auto to work — the device managing temperature and humidity together, automatically, all night — you also need the HumidAir 11 water tub. The two were designed to work as a system, and we stock both.
Can I wash it in the dishwasher?
No. The tube has electrical components inside it, so ResMed is explicit: no dishwasher and no washing machine. The correct way is once a week, by hand, in warm water with a little dishwashing liquid, at a maximum of 55 °C, rinsed thoroughly and dried away from sunlight and radiators. Do not use bleach, chlorine, aromatic solutions, antibacterial soaps or scented oils. Note the difference: the HumidAir 11 water tub is dishwasher-safe, the tube is not.
How often should I replace it?
ResMed gives a design life of 6 months. Beyond the calendar, inspect it regularly for holes, tears and cracks: the flexible wall tires where it kinks every night, and a small leak spoils the pressure without showing up anywhere. If you see a crack, discolouration or a tear, replace it straight away even if six months have not passed.
Can I put an insulating cover over the tube to keep it warm?
Not over this one. Fabric tube wraps were made for plain, unheated tubing, where they help stop heat escaping. The ClimateLineAir 11 generates its own heat and regulates it with a sensor — an insulating layer over the top distorts that measurement. You do not need one anyway: keeping the tube warm is precisely the job this tube does.
