Can the user propel it on their own?

It has large 24″ rear wheels with hand rims, for a user who moves the wheelchair with their own hands; when that is not possible, a companion pushes it from the push handles. It has attendant brakes on the push handles.

Do the footrests and armrests move out of the way for transfers?

Basic safe-use tips

Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for use. For example:

Apply the rear wheel brakes before the user sits down or stands up, and whenever you stop.
Do not stand on the footrests; swing them aside or lift them before the user stands up.
Do not exceed the maximum user weight of 125 kg.
After fitting the quick-release rear wheels, check that they have locked properly before use.
On ramps, kerbs and slopes move slowly and, where needed, with an attendant: the wheelchair can tip backwards.
