Can the user propel it on their own?

Do the footrests and armrests move out of the way for transfers?

The MOBIAK Gemini Adapt standard folding wheelchair, size 46 cm, comes with 6 wheels: remove the 24″ quick-release rear wheels and the chair runs on its 3″ auxiliary wheels, to get through spaces that are too narrow for its full width.

Who it is for: for people with limited mobility who need a wheelchair to get around every day, whether they push it themselves or with an attendant.

Ways to use it

Self-propelled: the user moves the wheelchair by pushing the large 24″ rear wheels.
With an attendant: the attendant pushes it by the push handles.
In narrow spaces: remove the 24″ quick-release rear wheels and the attendant moves the chair on the included 3″ auxiliary wheels.
As a transit chair: with the 12″ quick-release rear wheels (code 0811309, sold separately) it becomes a transit wheelchair, according to MOBIAK.
Carrying and storage: the frame folds and the rear wheels come off with quick release, for the car boot or for storage.

Basic safe-use tips

Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for use. For example:

Apply the rear wheel brakes before the user sits down or stands up, and whenever you stop.
Do not stand on the footrests; swing them aside or lift them before the user stands up.
Do not exceed the maximum user weight of 130 kg.
After fitting the quick-release rear wheels, check that they have locked properly before use.
On ramps, kerbs and slopes move slowly and, where needed, with an attendant: the wheelchair can tip backwards.
