ConvaTec KALTOSTAT® Calcium Sodium Alginate Dressing 5x5cm – Box of 10
KALTOSTAT® is a soft, sterile wound dressing made from calcium sodium alginate fibers. Upon contact with wound exudate, the dressing transforms into a cohesive gel or fiber mat that conforms to the wound bed. It is designed to manage moderate to heavily exuding wounds and helps support minor bleeding control.

Indications
- Pressure injuries (Stage I–IV)
- Venous and arterial leg ulcers
- Diabetic foot ulcers
- Donor sites
- Superficial burns
- Lacerations, abrasions and traumatic wounds
- After surgical wound debridement
Wound Preparation with Prontosan® & Askina®
Before applying KALTOSTAT®, it is recommended to clean and hydrate the wound using sterile gauze and a wound irrigation solution, especially in cases of suspected biofilm:
- Soak sterile gauze pads

with
Prontosan® Irrigation Solution.
- Apply to the wound and leave in place for at least 5 minutes to soften slough and help disrupt biofilm.
- Gently remove and proceed with KALTOSTAT® dressing application.

Instructions for Use
Apply KALTOSTAT® directly to the wound bed. If needed, use a secondary sterile dressing to secure. Change when saturated or as instructed by your healthcare provider.
