What do CSR and MIXED mean?

They are the therapy scopes MOBIAK lists: CSR for Cheyne-Stokes respiration and MIXED for periodic breathing or CSR together with severe obstructive sleep apnoea. Your doctor decides which one applies.

Which spare parts fit it?

According to MOBIAK: PrismaAQUA humidifier 0805030, CPAP tube (Balance, 20e, Prisma) 0802541, Prisma Hybernite heated tube 0810104, Prisma power supply 0810106 and filters 0810198 and 0810197. The humidifier is optional.

Can I take it on a plane?

The MOBIAK page lists a document for carrying and using the machine on a plane; ask us for it before you travel and also check your airline's rules.

What does the warranty cover?

Löwenstein Medical manufacturer's warranty: 2 years for the machine and accessories (except masks) and 6 months for masks, batteries, sensors and patient circuits, against manufacturing defects, without affecting your statutory rights. Normal wear is not covered. Contact us about any problem and we pass it on to MOBIAK.

Description

The Löwenstein Medical Prisma CR is a servo-ventilator with AcSV technology, which adapts the pressure to the current breath within the limits set by the doctor, for conditions such as Cheyne-Stokes respiration or mixed sleep apnoea.

Central or mixed sleep-disordered breathing: when the doctor has recommended a servo-ventilator, for example for Cheyne-Stokes respiration or periodic breathing together with severe obstructive sleep apnoea.
Your doctor's advice: the type of machine, the pressure and the mask are decided by your doctor; show them these details before you choose.

Ways to use it

CPAP: a fixed pressure, at the level your doctor sets.
AcSV: the pressure adapts to each breath, using real-time analysis of the flow curve, within the limits your doctor sets.

Basic safe-use tips

Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions for use. For example:

Pressure and modes are set by the doctor or technician, as your doctor has specified; do not change the settings yourself.
Use a mask in the right size, chosen with a mask sizing gauge or with your clinician, and check the fit as the instructions show.
Clean the mask, tube and humidifier and change the filters as the instructions for use describe.
Use it under the follow-up of the doctor who set it up, and keep the check-ups they arrange.
If you feel discomfort or your symptoms persist, talk to your doctor.
