Accurate and reliable SpO2 measurements with PureLight® sensors. Nonin sensors produce a high-intensity spectrum of pure light that eliminates patient-to-patient and sensor-to-sensor variation in measurements.

Red and infrared light sources (LEDs) are essential in pulse oximeter sensors. Specifically, the red LED measures deoxygenated hemoglobin & the infrared LED measures oxygenated hemoglobin.

Conventional red LEDs usually produce a second spectrum emission, which affects the measurement of oxygenated hemoglobin, as well as the oximeter calibration curve at oximetry levels, resulting in inaccurate measurements at levels below 80%.
