Dressing Aquacel Extra 5x5 cm (10pcs) | ConvaTec

ConvaTec Aquacel Extra is a soft, sterile, non-woven Hydrofiber® dressing made of sodium carboxymethylcellulose, strengthened with regenerated cellulose fibre. In contact with exudate it turns into a cohesive gel and keeps a moist wound environment by balancing the fluid level. The box holds 10 dressings of 5x5 cm.

Who it is for

• Healthcare professionals and home care: the dressing is applied according to the manufacturer's instructions and those of the doctor or nurse who looks after the wound; ask them about use at home.

Ways to use it

1. Ulcers: leg ulcers, pressure ulcers (Stage 2–4) and diabetic ulcers.
2. Surgical wounds: e.g. post-operative, donor sites, dermatological; and surgical wounds closed by primary intent, such as dermatological and surgical incisions (e.g. orthopaedic and vascular).
3. Burns: partial thickness second degree burns.
4. Traumatic wounds: as listed in the manufacturer's indications.
5. Wounds prone to bleeding: such as wounds that have been mechanically or surgically debrided, and donor sites.
6. Painful wounds: as listed in the manufacturer's indications.
