B.Braun Mini Spike 

The Mini Spike from B.Braun is a practical dispensing pin which protects the medication from air contamination during preparation via the bacteria-tight 0.45 µm air filter. The Mini Spike allows syringes to be quickly filled and to intake liquids free of air pockets. With the mini spike, syringes can be dispensed in rapid succession and drawn up without air bubbles. The add-on spike facilitates the withdrawal of medicines and otherwise required medical liquids from multi-dose containers.

Mini spikes protect both the user and the patient. Due to the practical Luer-Lock connection, which is protected by the green snap-on cap, the user is protected from needlestick injuries during withdrawal, while at the same time the integrated filter of the injection spike reduces the risk of contamination. Due to the optimal pressure compensation, the mini-spike ensures easy withdrawal and addition of medicines.

You may purchase the Mini Spike optionally with a standard tip for standard-size bottles, with a micro tip for particularly small containers or with an integrated valve that closes the flow channel as soon as the syringe is removed
