Dynamic Orthotic Solution for Congenital Forefoot Deformities in Infants
The Bebax® BBM orthosis is a clinically accepted, non-weight-bearing pediatric device used to treat congenital forefoot deformities. It offers a dynamic and adjustable alternative to casting or splinting, allowing precise correction in all three anatomical planes: vertical, horizontal, and oblique.
- Recommended duration: Approximately 35 days
- Note: Not suitable for use while walking. Not intended for treating clubfoot as a primary method.
Indications
- Congenital deformities such as:
- Metatarsus Varus
- Pes Talus / Talus Valgus
- Pes Varus / Valgus / Supinatus
- Secondary treatment after surgery for Talipes Equinovarus
- Prevention of contractures of muscular or neurologic origin

🧾 General Use
- Prescribed for congenital forefoot deformities in infants.
- Allows dynamic correction in three planes: vertical, horizontal, and oblique.
- Can be removed for cleaning, massage, or during check-ups.
- Only healthcare professionals should adjust settings.
⏱️ Treatment Duration
- Set by the physician based on condition severity.
- Daily wear time and angles are doctor-determined.
- Progress should be monitored through follow-ups.
🧦 How to Apply
- Use with a thin cotton sock, with open toe area for circulation monitoring.
- Insert the heel first, then position forefoot.
- Fasten toe and ankle straps securely, without overtightening.
- Do not alter corrective angles without medical approval.
⚠️ Warnings
- Not for walking – may damage the joint.
- Watch for pale or blue toes – loosen straps if needed.
- Use only for one child – not reusable due to foot shape differences.
- Move to a larger size if toes stick out from the shoe.

- Wipe gently with a damp cloth (natural leather).
- Do not sterilize or autoclave.
