Sterican Intramuscular Phlebotomy/Blood Sampling Needles are made of chrome-nickel stainless steel and designed to minimize pain during phlebotomy/blood drawing. They have a thin wall and a smooth surface with a light silicone coating. The needle hub is color coded, which identifies the outside diameter of the needle, making identification easier.

Handling Instructions

• Carefully remove Sterican® from the packaging.
• Attach the needle securely to any syringe by twisting the syringe clockwise while holding the needle close to its base.
• Remove the protective cap carefully straight from the needle hub to avoid exposure to the sharp needle point.
• Perform injection according to your established procedure.
• Take care during disposal as sharp needle bevel is not protected.
• Dispose the used needle immediately after application into an approved sharps container following the standard procedures of your facility and / or according to applicable regulations for sharps disposal.
